Allium Secret was born from a quiet moment during a walk through the town of Monchique. In a public garden, one that many pass by without noticing, where a cluster of alliums stood in quiet bloom. A few stood out with quiet confidence, so striking and yet so small, their deep purples and rich pinks gently rising above the softened blur of the background.

As I paused, I imagined myself shrinking down to their size, wandering through a forest of slender stalks and delicate petals. I could almost smell their sweet scent and feel the softness beneath my fingertips. There was a gentle, almost otherworldly presence to them, easily missed, yet impossible to forget once seen.

As an Algarve artist, I’m drawn to the details many overlook. This photograph, part of my Algarve original art is my way of honoring those unnoticed wonders hiding in plain sight.

As an artist capturing Algarve, I wanted Allium Secret to hold that sense of small magic, a reminder that beauty is everywhere, waiting quietly for someone to stop and see it.
